Saint Laurent-menswear collection Spring/Summer 2019 in New York

Location: After using the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop, it’s the New York skyline that Anthony Vaccarello chooses as the basis of his décor to present his Saint Laurent Men’s show for Spring/Summer 2019. For the first time ever, the designer set up his catwalk in New York, a city that he revisits in the collection. Collection: A skinny and tapered silhouette, composed of slim trousers and printed or striped loose shirts. There are references to Studio 54 with brightness and sequins as well as a reworked western feel with bandanas, cowboy shirts and suede or fringed blouson jackets. We find the Saint Laurent codes through transparency, animal motifs and safari jackets revisited for men. A wardrobe dominated by shades of black, more matte than shiny. To note: The ankle boots with squared toes in patchwork leather or reptile skin. The waist is sometimes highlighted by a belt which encircles the jackets, again marking the advantage of the fine allure of these men. Plus the leather for fitted jackets or the shoulders just marked with topstitching. The unisex looks, also worn by Kaia Gerber. A finale with bare-chested men, painted for a gleaming effect!Music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information)
