Creative director: gaia trussardiinspiration: leaving the city behind in favour of the mountains. men and women dare to mix their classic, basic pieces with coats, parkas and other sportswear gear. trussardi, like all great italian houses, is targeting millenials and heading towards a younger, more colourful wardrobe, but as always, uses beautiful materials, notably leather which is the specialty of the brand. collection: parkas and jacket are ready to pull on, printed with drawings of mountains, like the well-done nylon bombers or the zipped tops, which are paired with sublime big leather skirts, all with slits at the sides and some worn with two big straps. a more biker ensemble, with a relatively graphic leather jacket and loose trousers. the men dare to mix their suit with a light parka. to note: for the evening, the dresses become sensual, with a play on transparency, based around midnight blue and black + big capes for the women and the men. interview: travelling from the city to the mountain, people from milan, the trussardi person, dynamic and elegant, this man or woman that we know. so his or her wardrobe mixes pieces from their authentic, classic trussardi style together with sportswear inspired by the mountain sportswear, the big bomber jackets, the big bomber coats, block colours, prints that are bright and the colours of the mountain all leather, and on nylon and wool. so it’s a trussardi that looks at youngsters more than any other time. girls nowadays are playing a lot with their femininity but also with masculinity and i don’t think it’s a matter of women empowerment, when it comes to very young girls, it’s just an attitude that comes very naturally, just freedom. in the same way in which younger guys are more sensitive and they’re not scared to show their femininity so it’s no longer attached like the older generation to something expressively intellectual or meaningful, it’s just a natural way of how this new generation is coming into the world. music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information)
