Artistic director: sophie delafontaineinspiration: for the second time, the french brand longchamp chose to present in new york and as always in the south of manhattan right in the heart of the immense skyscrapers. 40 looks for 40 different women with a touch of the 70s.collection: graphic, surrounding black and white, inspired by bauhaus with letters creating the sign “lgp” referencing the brand’s new logo that is placed on clothes and accessories. women brave wearing short pieces and leather gives up its place for jackets and coats in curly wool. colour takes over dresses through multiple stripes which are also seen on sleeveless mini-jumpers to warm up the look.note: platform boots + multiple bags, especially the new model named “la voyageuse” and the miniature-folding bag+ the two icons of the brand on the front row: kate moss, best friend of the brand and kendall jenner the current ambassador. interview with sophie delafontaine:in this collection, we had the opportunity to present our new logo and our new print with this logo on. it was inspired by bauhaus and very graphic architecture and so i played with letters like a maze and a puzzle, so voilà the idea was to present it through different aspects.there is a slight inspiration taken from the 70s through long printed dresses as well as the start of the 80s with black and white resembling a rock style. it’s really 40 looks, 40 women and 40 personalities.we also see a very free spirit liberated from the fashion victim who follows a dicktat. everyone must find the things that make them pretty and stronger.interview with kendall jenner:the biggest thing for me was gaining my own confidence and feeling good in my own skin and feeling good about myself, so especially with fashion i think just taking risks if you feel comfortable in it and just do anything that you think is cool and that makes you comfortable and feel good about yourself and confident.i think my favourite outfit, there was one it was a white and black jacket and it said longchamp all over it in different like a different form. i really liked it, i thought it was really cool, i thought it was a bit different from last season, and it was a cool switch-up and… yeah i saw a lot of things that i would wear myself so i thought it was really nice. music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
